What is a Plastic Granulator?
A plastic granulator is used to reduce the size of waste products such as bottles, cases, pipes and films into smaller pieces called ‘regrind’ or flake’. This is essential in plastic recycling and maybe the only step needed before the ‘regrind’ can be reused in manufacturing new plastic products. However the recycling of waste plastic requires other processes such as sorting and separation, size reduction, washing and pelletizing.
What will a Plastic Granulator reduce?
The plastic granulators are ideal for all types of plastics, uPVC, HDPE, LDPE, PET & PP to name but a few. But it will depend on the size of the granulator. From small off-cuts made by injection and blow moulding machines called sprues to plastic drinks bottles and uPVC window frames to large plastic underground piping made from HDPE or LDPE.
